The Life Of A Cop

Risky life and rewarding?

The Life Of A Cop

It seems as if now these days, all you hear about in the news deals with security and cop officials. Whether for the good or for the bad, there just tends to be some political news dealing with officials. How about the news about how cops out there are badly injured out there or risking their own lives?

I find having the security profession a very tough living and I'm sure at times can be difficult. They are at risk to saving other's lives and building a better community within were they live. A good example I like to watch and go over when dealing with security is the television show, "Cops."

If you have not seen the show, it deals with real life situations and real life scenarios as a cop and having to find out the criminals on the lose and having to deal with problems and situations. Cops tend to be in fights, separate fights, in the middle of very tough situations, and at times in deadly situations. It does seem like a risky career and a very active profession.

In the end though if you think about it, I am sure to many, it is a thankful job. Many thanks and appreciation go out to them and their service, because many of us can not do what they do everyday. It is as if they were born to save lives and born to serve America with great power, one day at a time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
