With almost two years of undergraduate schooling under my belt, I feel as if I have learned a few things along the way. Although my collegiate career hasn't gone without a few hiccups here and there, I do feel that I have had experiences similar to other college students. So, in honor to commemorate the best four years of our lives, here's to college life.
1. When you don't think you'll gain the "Freshman 15", but you end up gaining twice that.
2. You contemplate dropping out of college at least twice a day.
3. You'll go to any event on campus that advertises free food, since you're a broke college student.
4. You take five hour naps so you can account for the sleep you'll miss, because you'll be cramming for that huge Stats exam.
5. When you have that ultra liberal or ultra conservative, know-it-all in your three hour lecture.
6. When the professor specifically says they will not curve on exams, and the grade you get is the grade you get.
7. You check your bank account thinking you have thousands of dollars, but you have an overdraft fee, because you spent all of that money on alcohol.
8. Your campus doesn't allow on-campus fraternity or sorority houses, so there's designated houses right across the street.
9. You're notoriously late to everything, no matter how early you try to get up.
10. You have no money to buy groceries, because again, you spent all your money on beer and room decor.
11. You've been up consecutive days studying for an exam that will have no importance to your major or college degree.
And finally,
12. You'll be in debt the rest of your life thanks to the Federal Government and student loans.
So if you're ready for the best four years of your life, then welcome to:
