The life of a bookworm is a consuming one in which everything revolves around books. How many you have, how many you've read, when you'll get time time to purchase and read more, and so on. Us bookworms get excited when we find others with a mutual love, and even more excited when we find an accurate portrayal of a book lover in a TV character. Here's a glimpse into the life of a bookworm, as told by the ultimate one himself, Brick Heck from ABC's "The Middle".

1. After a new purchase

After leaving the bookstore, you clutch your new books to your chest as if they were your own children.

2. The tactile beauty of books

Not only do you love reading books, you love the books themselves. You probably own, or wish you owned, a book scented candle, and you scoff at people who think eBooks can even compare to their physical counterparts.

3. Conversing

You probably have trouble talking about anything other than books and words.

4. Halloween costumes

You want something that represents your one true love, but also something non-book lovers will understand.

5. Finding clothes with a literary theme

Because everyone you pass needs to understand your love for literature.

6. Friends

Books are there for you when nobody else is.

7. Trying to limit yourself

When you see what life is like without reading because you need to get other things done.

8. The book lover's philosophy

The words we live by.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
