This time of year is the best. Between Thanksgiving and New Years. So many exciting and wonderful events come up. But it can also be a very stressful and rough time when you are in college. From the week before Thanksgiving break all the way until finals week, it can be easy to get tired of school and everything involved with it. Here are the stages that will take place within the next few weeks, as told by Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation.

1. Thanksgiving break

The countdown since the beginning of the semester has finally come to an end. It's time for Thanksgiving break! This time of the semester is the best. For almost a week straight, you get to put off every responsibility, and just enjoy time with your family and pets. It's the time where we feel refreshed and ready to take on the world again.

2. The first week of December

After break, we are reminded of what the last few weeks of the semester hold. The second we get back to campus, we are ready to leave again. We immediately remember why we were so happy to be home in the first place. There's no escaping. You are stuck there for a couple more weeks.

3. Dead week (Pre-finals)

If your school is like mine, dead week does not exist. At many universities, they get a week before finals week to completely focus on their finals. However, at most schools, this does not exist. Dead week will make you so sleep deprived. Your brain will start to think weird things due to lack of sleep.

4. Finals Week

Finals week. The best week ever (so much sarcasm). This week requires lots of coffee and studying. There will be many late nights, and many tears will shed.

5. The ending of the semester.

There is nothing like turning in your last final and walking back to your room to pack your bags for Christmas break! Suddenly, Christmas becomes your favorite holiday. Feel proud of yourself! You did it!

This is the process that follows within the last few weeks of the semester. They won't be the easiest, but there will also be many fun holiday themed events, and it is a great time to spend with friends. Stay positive, students. We can do this and finish strong!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
