If you haven't watched the first rendition of The Last of Us then I suggest getting to it. Not only is it one of the most thrilling third-person survival games, but it has left viewers amazed with every aspect of the video game as a whole. After much praise in its development of story, characters, and game play, the post-pandemic world has now taken to a sequel following the duo of Joel and Ellie.

What We Know So Far

It wasn't entirely clear as to whether Naughty Dog developer or Neil Druckmann, the writer of The Last of Us, were ever in the process of actually making another one. However, after much speculation, a new trailer was just confirmed that it will be released some time by next year.

Naughty Dog has developed some of the most in-depth and genius storylines, so what's really going to make or break this game? The Last of Us has taken a toll on many gamers just by its storyline. There have been many theories surrounding the new game just by the trailer. Lets take a look.

Trailer Breakdown/Theories

The trailer shows a grown up Ellie, implying that she will be the primary playable character, rather than Joel. The sense of hate is a major theme in the new trailer. Which was confirmed by Druckmann that it will play a key role to the development of the story and character progression.

Why this sudden shift in a primary character role? Well, even after Ellie's transformation in the trailer, we see a more battered and scarred 19 year old. It seems as if her playing music is still fighting for what's left in her humanity. This hate that plays a key theme, may be related to her love for Joel. What if, Joel is actually dead?

Ellie is obviously very lost, making it seem like she is more mentally drained than she is physically. She may just be imagining Joel throughout the game. This is one of my favorite theories that make it all the more interesting.

Where we left off in the ending to The Last of Us, Joel saves Ellie from being operated for the sake of a cure to beating the virus. Even after Joel lies to Ellie about what happened with the Fireflies, the new trailer shows the Fireflies symbol. Although we don't know who Ellie plans to kill in the new trailer, it most likely implies to that group in particular.

We Can Hope For

It's very difficult to tell what the story will be about, there are so many ideas that can work in the making of the new game. Much speculation surrounded the developers as to whether they'd add more characters, but we can definitely be sure that Joel and Ellie will be there when all else fails.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
