You are going to die.
Your heart will cease to beat, your blood will no longer flow, and your brain will stop functioning.
You may be aware of this when it happens, or it may occur suddenly before you have time to understand.
You may have years ahead of you, or seconds.
Every achievement you’ve ever accomplished and understanding of who you are will disappear, along with all the footsteps you’ve trodden. This may happen quickly or be prolonged, but at some point you will either be forgotten, ignored, or simply not exist due to a lack of people to spread your story.
Everyone else will experience this fate; some before you, some afterwards. Everyone you’ve ever known and everyone you’ll never meet.
You may try to ignore all this, or prolong it, but in the end it is simply something you can’t control. No matter how strong, tough, or healthy you may be, you cannot prevent or fight it.
What you can do however, is answer this question: When all roads lead to oblivion, which path will mean all the difference to you?
