Lately, I have been considering beginning a diet before I returning back to school next month, and the famous Keto diet never fails to show up on my google search. I am not looking for a major weight loss diet, but more of an… "if I gain weight while at school, it is not the end of the world" diet.
From what I have researched, the Keto diet is a way of burning the right fats- the non-carbohydrate fats- that make our bodies feel bloated and chubby. These once carbohydrate fats are thenreplaced with healthy, good fats: non-starchy veggies and lean meat and fish. Those on the Keto diet do not eat sugars, gluten (** carbs**) and high carb fruits. So, is the Keto diet really any different from just cutting starches and sweets out of your diet? At the end of the day, the right fats are burned and by way of not eating starches and sugars.
The name for the Keto diet then comes from the word Ketosis, which is the metabolic state that your body shifts into after regimenting your diet towards the keto restrictions.
All in all, I have heard fabulous things about the Keto diet, that in all experiences, have led to weight loss. Moreover than weight loss, the Keto diet makes one feel less heavy and thus happier. In this way, because the Keto diet produces results, the diet is definitey worth the try, in my perspective.
As one who is interested in adjusting my diet to be more healthy and clean for my body, I think that I should try the Keto diet. Perhaps slowly introducing the dietary change into my diet is a good idea and the way to go. Starting a new food regiment is always exciting… wish me luck!
