O.J. Simpson, the man, the legend, and the ex -convict? O.J. has been released from prison and guess what, it wasn’t for murder.

He was sentenced to jail back in 2007 for a robbery, he claims he was trying to take back his memorabilia. Because of this incident,O.J. was sentenced to a total of 35 years in jail for armed robbery.

This was crazy? This was the man who got off for alleged murder.

First thing first, O.J. should have been acting like a model citizen after this Murder trial he got of off.

Secondly, who in the world gets sentenced 35 years for a robbery and kidnapping, people get less time for premeditated murder.

I have mixed feelings on this matter. If we are going to talk about the robbery and that jail sentences, well it was unfair. Let’s give justice where it’s due.

The man, was I suppose you say down on his luck. After being acquitted of the murders of his ex-wife and her boyfriend, O.J. was shunned from everything he knew. This causes him to down spiral.

He started acting out, especially after finding out, he no longer had to be someone's hero or idol. This also led to him having no money, friends, or sense of direction, thus leading to this robbery gone bad.

I find it kind of funny that O.J. was sentenced to prison for this armed robbery on the same day his verdict was announced for the murder trial, for the same amount of time he would have done for the murders.

O.J. first parole hearing would be July 2017. Surprise, he was able to leave.

Flash forward to October 2017 and O.J. is once again a free man to do as he pleases. Let’s get real, don’t you think he will end right but up in jail again.

He has once again, no family, no friends, no money. What’s a man suppose to do? I guess he’ll do what all rich retired sports players to… whatever that is.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
