lot of people hate work. A lot of people hate the idea of working. A lot of people hate getting up to do something that they don't want to do. Fortunately, though, a lot of people enjoy their jobs. Many people have careers that satisfy them. Some aren't into their careers yet but they have jobs that they enjoy. I am one of those people.

My job as a pizza maker is a fantastic job. I'm not into my career yet, but this job is a perfect fit for my college years. With that said, I can safely say that valuing your job and enjoying it simply makes life a whole lot better. Here are the small joys that you probably feel when you enjoy your job.

1. You don't mind going to work.

Sure, you'd probably rather stay at home and watch reruns of "Friends" (or "SpongeBob"). You'd much rather be someplace more fun, maybe with some friends. But you don't mind getting up to go to your job. It's not merely another chore. It's something you can confidently say that you feel comfortable with.

2. You enjoy a challenge.

Sometimes jobs can be monotonous. But even if you enjoy said monotony, you feel up to facing a challenge. And then you feel pretty damn good when you complete the challenge. New opportunities and difficulties may be stressful, and sometimes cumbersome, but you enjoy pushing yourself and discovering that you can do these new things and do them well.

3. You have fun.

Maybe you don't whistle while you work, but what you do brings you satisfaction. You like your coworkers. You all share laughs and have a good time. You get serious when you need to, but you aren't afraid to have a little fun. The positive energy makes for a great workplace environment, too.

4. You are happy most of the time.

Speaking of positive energy, when you are happy at work, it makes others happy, too. When work is something that you enjoy, you are most likely a more positive person. It really helps to make the workday move along faster. And it keeps you sane through the rough times.

5. Your home life is better.

If you are happy with your job, your home life will most likely be a lot better and more positive. You'll be happier around your family and not come home miserable. There are exceptions, of course, especially on abnormally crappy nights. But for the most part your home/family life has been improved because of your attitude toward work.

6. Other people notice your attitude.

This is important. Your attitude affects others around you. When you're happy, it causes others to feel that positive energy. Your boss will see your attitude and like it. You'll probably have a better chance at getting a raise. Your coworkers will like you, and you'll get along with them, even if you don't like some of them. That's key, by the way. Even if you don't like someone, having a positive attitude and being nice not only makes it more bearable to be around them, but it may also shed a little positivity in their lives if they need it.

Enjoying your job is such a great and important thing. It's builds a healthier lifestyle and makes you a more positive person. I hope you enjoy your job as much as I do.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.
