Facebook, Israel loves Palestine.

As an Israeli who has lived abroad most of his life, I can tell you that I have heard different perspectives from the conflict: either pro-Palestinian or pro-Israeli. However, its important to mention the fact that the way that the media and the majority of activists have handeled the conflict promotes violence and hatred against each side. So basically I am going to live a list of how we should and shouldn't handle it.

What we SHOULDN'T do:

1. Blame each of the other side completely on the current events. It is important to understand that most of the past and present event have been occcuring in chain, moreover, like if it was a snowball rolling down a hill. Most of the information presented to us in the media can be categorized as half truth due to the fact that the majority of the actions have different perspectives depending on whats more convinient to the political affiliation of the writer or the . Plus, due to the complexity of the conflict you cannot just blame one side.

2. Justify the death of anybody regardless of your political affiliation. This really angers me guys. I cannot understand how do people justify in any way the killing of innocent civilians (as seen in the recent terror attacks towards Israelis and the death of Palestinians in the last Gaza attack). No one deserves to be murdered.

3. Act as if one side's suffering and killing is less than the other side. Like how can you be so indifferent to another person's suffering?

4. Portray just the conflict without also talking about the efforts of both sides to communicate with each other.

What we SHOULD do:

1. Understand the situation. By blaming the other side won't magically solve the problem. If we really want to solve the conflict we should talk about the solutions, not that much about who did what in 1948, 1967, etc...

2. Be pro-humanity. Because everybody is worth equially regardless of their nationality, political affiliation, race, sex or religion (the Universal Declaration of Human Rights says so).

3. Remember that on each side, there are families, women, men, and children that have ambitions and dreams in life.

4. Promote a healthy communication and interacion (by social media) between both sides. Actually, there is a Facebook page called 'Israel loves Palestine' were healthy interaction aims to promote peace and hope between both sides. This page actually shows people from both sides helping and treating each other as human beings.

Peace.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
