So recently, I've been getting pretty upset over one thing in particular and I know I can't be the only one who feels the same way. In the past months, many celebrities have come out in support of Hillary Clinton, and I feel they do not know exactly what that entails. Websites/magazines such as Teen Vogue and Seventeen have also used their social media platform to make their influential voices heard, as well. While I am all for everyone being entitled to their opinions and what not, I am not particularly for people dragging others of the same negative doings -- maybe even worse -- down into the dirt with the other equality guilty party. Yes, yes, I know, this is exactly what this Presidential election has come to, but I for one know I am not alone in saying that enough is enough. We've had it.
In particular, I'm speaking out against Teen Vogue's social media presence over this election. Especially their Facebook. Why is it that everytime Trump calls out Clinton, they release a ton of negativity onto him but when Clinton says something negative about Trump, it receives a post of nothing but positivity? Double standard much?
The same people who write articles on "All Lives Matter" are the people writing this. This liberal based magazine literally makes money off of being biased and hypocritical. Why is it that all lives matter but as soon as Trump says something or one of his supporters comes out to speak on his behalf, that person is basically shunned? There are many people that like and stand with Trump and I'm sure those people would be the first to say that while Trump certainly is not at all perfect, he sure is the "lesser of two evils".
Hillary is "making history" being the first female to get the Democratic Party's Presidential nominee, sure, but she is also "making history" in the huge scandal she pulled against the American people and pretty much laughing in our faces with each speech she delivered during the DNC. Remember people, there are still speculations that she screwed Bernie out of that position. While Trump is no masterpiece himself, we surely can say that about Clinton, too. She has lied to us millions of time and her husband has done the exact same.
This same man who cheated on his wife -- in office -- was barred from practicing law in the state of Arkansas, was barred from practicing law in the presence of the Supreme Court for lies of the Lewinski incident, was fined $25,000 over the Lewinski incident, was fined $850,000 as a settlement for the Lewinski incident, and was fined $90,000 for falsely testifying but still stood on stage lying to the American people when he said "she is the best thing for our country."
Speaking next about both Clinton and Trump's daughters, Tiffany and Chelsea, we can compare the bias that Teen Vogue also threw to both parties regarding said speeches.
In Tiffany's speech, Teen Vogue basically threw shade at her by making their readers do all of the shaming. "Donald Trump has never done anything halfway, least of all as a parent." This is true. Without his kids, I truly and personally believe that his whole campaign would never had made it this far and it is not fair that people spent so much time using other people's faults and mistakes against her. All the time we hear of spoiled, entitled rich kids growing up and turing into drug addicts. None of Donald's kids turned out that way. Tiffany herself graduated from University of Pennsylvania at 22 years old and lead a tremendous speech in front of millions of people. They beat the odds and the thanks is to be put where they were raised. While you may not agree he should be running for President of the United States, you're lying to yourself if you have anything other than praise to throw at the way his kids turned out.
Chelsea's speech on the other hand was thrown into a post about nothing but 'emotions' and 'pride to her mother.' Once again, why Teen Vogue must you have went and done that? Why couldn't Ivanka's or Tiffany's of Donald Jr.'s or Eric's speech made you want to go and phone your father? Right there in itself was partially sexist and patriarchal, something Teen Vogue "swears" they aren't. “I’m here as a proud American, a proud Democrat, a proud mother, and tonight in particular, a very, very proud daughter.” I'm sorry, but did Trump's kids not say the same exact thing about their father? Your mother may be a great mom but she is by no means fit to be the leader of America. She has done too much of a messy job to cover her tracks in ways that could have totally been avoided if she would have just been faithful to America and our people.
With all the celebrity endorsers that have come to light of Hillary, I do not believe that at least one is voting for her other than the fact that she is female and they are trying to "make history" again, just like history was made with Barack Obama was elected into office as the first ever African American President of the United States. I by no means think that as an individual himself he is a bad person -- obviously, I don't even know him personally. The only thing that I can say about Obama is that he made some horrible and questionable choices as President and I do not feel at all that I am the only one who takes that personally. He could have made so many positive changes and differences in this country but instead he made many decisions that questioned the judgment that he brought along with this eight years in the Oval Office. The people who do not stand with Hillary do not want to see another four years -- or God forbid eight years -- take place again. When people say they stand with Trump they are saying they stand with America. I do not believe at all that people can call into question how much he loves the United States of America and the only reason that people question Hillary is because of what we have seen her be found guilty on in the past. From the murders of the four innocent Americans to the email scandal, she has shown herself in such a negative light. Bringing back to topic, Donald Trump is by no means anything close to perfect but the love he has for this country and the skills he brings to the table leave no questions. It is a sad time when people will vote for someone who has already showed their wrongdoings to the people through actions but the man who has veered off topic and said somethings he probably shouldn't have is the one getting the blame. Obama's brother isn't showing his support for Trump because his botox injections look good.
When I tell people that I am both a college student and a Republican, I believe that they are nothing but confused and misinformed at what that could mean. Not just me as a Republican, but on behalf of every Republican out there I am here to remind you that no that does not mean I am sexist, no that does not mean I believe in unequal pay (especially as a women), no I am not homophobic, no I am not a racist, no I do not believe police brutality is necessary, and no I am by absolutely by no means of the word ignorant. Murder for absolutely no means is never the answer and I can say that as a Republican. Everyone deserves to feel safe and secure and I am saying that as a Republican. No officer or civilian deserves violence for any reason other than actual protection and I can say that as a Republican. When I say I am against illegal aliens coming into the country, it does not mean that I believe every Muslim person is a terrorist. I can say as a Republican that if you'd like to come over to this country and make a life for your family here in the "land of opportunity" there is absolutely no reason whatsoever that it can't be done the right and just way. Some members of my family came over here from Italy but they did it the legal way. To say that I am for anyone that was not born in the United States to come live over here would be extremely hypocritical of me and we already have enough of that going on today.
When I proclaim that I am not with Hillary I am not saying it in any sexist way, shape or form -- uh, I'm a female. How is it far to write an article showing all the celebrity endorsements that Hillary has and not ones that support Trump? All this liberal magazine every does is claim itself to be "equal to all" and act totally hypocritical in discussions like these. This is not a matter against having a female as Commander in Chief. This is not a matter against anything but who is right to be placed as future POTUS. As a woman, I can say that I would absolutely love to see a women get placed into Office but as a woman I am fully exercising my right to not vote for Hillary Clinton on the sole reason of her being a female and I think that is why she is getting so much celebrity attention from females like Beyonce and Chloë Grace Moretz. She is manipulative and conniving and it will show if she is elected just like it did with President Obama.
Growing up going to Catholic school and being baptized meant that when I say I believe in things and don't believe in things, it is simply because under the Constitution of the United States of America, I am allowed this right. When religion was removed from schools, it broke not only my heart, but the hearts of millions of Americans around the world. When I say that I do not stand with abortion, it is not because I am coldhearted to whatever a person's situation may be. Just like it would be wrong to criticize a person because of how they grew up, it is wrong to criticize me and call me a bad person because I believe otherwise on this matter.
Anybody who knows me knows that I am a huge fan of this girl right here, but listening to what she had to say both made me very disappointed, but also very grateful. "I registered to vote at the DMV – on the same day I got my driver's license. It took just minutes, but I know it gave me power for a lifetime. The power to make my voice heard and to shape the future of our country." She was acting as a voice for millennials to get out and voice their basic American right of voting. Get out there and make your voice heard. While she did make her voice in the tune of Clinton's campaign, she was influencing people to vote. A very serious issue arises when people come together and hear these young people voting, however. This is not like some hair craze ("Oh, she dyed her hair this color so I just have to as well!") no, it is about something bigger. She is a celebrity who I believe does not have all the facts on Hillary Clinton. She is with her because she is a woman and because Donald Trump is an "old, lying racist." Fact check before you continue on with yourself.
"If you’re an average American who feels like you’ve been forgotten, neglected by far away leaders, that the deck is stacked against you and you just can’t win, Donald J. Trump will have your back." Willie Robertson was one of the many faces that got up on stage at the Republican National Convention in support of Trump. He stressed his thoughts that he believed Trump will highlight and hit if he is elected. Let this be a lesson to many: Trump is for the weaker man. There is a reason that a cop killer's family member was invited to speak at the DNC while an American hero was invited to speak at the RNC. Also, where were the American flags at the DNC? Oh, that's right! Outside the building being burned to the ground.
In the mean time, Teen Vogue should take their noses out of the election (even though it is quite enlightening and admirable that they are trying to make a voice for younger people) they are just doing it in an extremely unfair way to the Republican party. Start shedding a voice on that party too and not just the Democratic party. Until they shed light on both parties I myself and many others I'm sure can agree with me on them sticking to articles such as "3 Ways to Make a T-Shirt Cuter" and "What to Do When You're Single and All Your Other Friends Aren't". For example, why is this important? Stick to the "more exciting" side of things. Again I ask, why was this so relevant it deserved it's own article? P.S. I'm sure Donald Trump loves balloons, so if that's why you decide to vote, make it fair and register in your head that not just one candidate loves balloons, but both.
This race should singlehandedly be about making America into what it was before. To fix the economy and the wellbeing of the people that live here. Once upon a time there was so much pride and love in exclaiming "I am an American." Sadly, with the state we have been showing to our enemies, we have demised ourselves as no longer a superpower, but a joke and that I can say because I am an American who was born here and will be here until I die and I would like to see us as a nation build ourself back up and rise to the top were we should be.
