Who said adults can't read children's books? These classics are timeless and are important reads for any age. Check them out--you could learn something!

1. 'The Giving Tree'

The first time I read this book was as an adult and I may or may not have cried a little bit. I believe that this book can serve as a reminder to people about the importance of appreciating what you have. Be selfless but also be selfish.

2. 'Oh, The Places You'll Go!'

This is a classic gift given to high school or college graduates. It's okay to not know exactly where you're heading because there are so many different paths you can take. If you're feeling a little lost, sit down and Dr. Seuss will help you realize that everything will be okay in the end.

3. 'Harry Potter'

If you haven't read "Harry Potter," you must have been living under a rock for half of your life. You'll be transported into another world of magic and mystery. Harry and his pals can show you true friendship, loyalty and love. These are a little time consuming, depending on how fast you can read, but they're well worth it.

4. 'Eloise'

5. 'Where the Wild Things Are'
