Never give up.
Quitters never win.
Just do it.
It's everywhere, but here's the thing: it's so important to quit sometimes. You can start by implementing this in positive ways like school work, sports, etc. But when you decide to “never quit” something, that thing becomes your sun. It drives everything. It feeds you. You, essentially, need it.
Let's explore this “never quit” attitude. For instance, the gym. I hear this kind of talk all the time at the gym. “If it hurts you're doing it right, keep pushing.” I can't tell you how many times I've almost fainted but wouldn't let myself quit. At this point I'm not bettering myself, my pride has just exceeded my self-compassion. I am telling myself that the way I look or how much I achieve at the gym one day is more important than my physical health overall. I mean, isn't that why you go to the gym? For physical health? So wouldn't it actually, then, be better for me to quit? Yes.
Unfortunately, the poster on the wall next to me, that I'm leaning up against for support, says otherwise.
Never quit.
Sometimes you need to quit. And if you “never quit” in some areas of your life, odds are it'll carry over into other, unhealthier areas.
