The Importance Of Your Relationship With God

Why should I have a relationship with God?

Your relationship with God is one of the most unique and important things in your life. At a point in your life, you will go through a hard time. Sometimes it is to the point where you start to question everything and wonder why you are in the position that you are in. This is where your relationship with God comes into play.

Sometimes we question why things are happening this way or God himself? My family has taught me to never question God. The reason why I do not question him is because what usually is happening at that point in time is somehow preparing me for the future.

For example, sometimes you may question why people are acting differently when you thought they were your friends or for you in some positive way. As time goes on, you may realize the reason they were acting differently is because they were not your friends but instead trying to either use you or destroy you.

Another important example is when you are constantly having hardships thrown upon you. At the time, it can seem as too much to handle. After you manage to fight through it, you realize that something about you is different. You can see others possibly going through the same thing and be able to support them. You also may have a similar situation in the future and be able to handle it better than you did the time before.

When you have a personal relationship with God, God can help guide you through signals and spirit.

For instance, you will be able to make the right decisions more instead of doing what is wrong or may seem as right. As a Christian, I have to admit that wanting to do what is wrong seems like it will be the best thing for you but in reality, it does not help you but rather destroy you. Nothing great comes from doing wrong and if it does, it is temporary.

You will be able to influence others including yourself through prayer. Prayer is one of those things that helps any situation. Sometimes it may be delayed but it is always on time. We do not have control over everything but we have control over ourselves. Prayer helps strengthen you and lets God fight your battles for you.

Overall, having a personal relationship with God helps you grow as a person. Personally, having my relationship with God while I have been in college has helped me in numerous ways and continues to do so. I will also say that my relationship with God has grown tremendously since I have been here.

Your relationship with God is a unique thing to have and takes time, patience and a willingness to change.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
