Every girl carries the burden of having too many options of what to wear in their closet, especially when it comes to bottoms. There are skirts, jeans (skinny or boyfriend), leggings, shorts and sweatpants? The choices are endless, especially on a day when you are torn between dressing casual or put together.
Alas, in the recent years, a new trend has once again come full circle from prior eras -- jogger pants or simply known as joggers. Joggers are tapered sweatpants that feature elastic at the feet and are designed to fall just above the ankle. Joggers come in a myriad of styles, for both men and women. Some types of joggers have the look of being the skinny-jean version of sweatpants while others are made in a denim wash, camo print, leather or even trouser-like material for the workplace.
Casual ways to wear joggers, whether it be for a man or a woman, include wearing them with plain t-shirts, sneakers and accessorizing with your favorite jean or leather jacket. If you are looking to dress joggers up, the right way to go about this is by pairing them with blouses, button-down shirts and boots or even heels.
Finding jogger pants are not difficult. However, finding places to get them at an affordable price is a little bit more tricky. Brands like American Eagle and Hollister price theirs between $40 and $50, while designer jogger pants at a place like Bloomingdale's can reach up to $200. If you are looking to spend even less than that, Forever 21 and H&M also offer many styles that can cost as low as $20.
There are many good reasons to own jogger pants. However, in my opinion, there are two main reasons that convinced me to own joggers. The first reason is, they are great for lazy days when I like to look put together and stylish while still being very comfortable.
The second reason is, the versatility of the garment. It can be worn for different types of events. It can also be worn throughout all four seasons with minor altercations. Everyone likes to have clothing that they can use as a go-to loophole. Joggers are a great option.
