After spending a week in England, coming home, and turning right around to head to Ecuador to study abroad for 5 months, I have realized the importance of saying "yes" to adventures and to being open to new things. With maybe 24 hours sleep for the entire trip to England, it was the most amazing experience of my life. I grew in my friendships, met new people, and did things I would have never done.
The most important lesson I have learned about adventure is you do not have to jump off bridges or delve into the depth of the ocean to be adventurous. Taking risks isn't about putting yourself in danger, its about not being afraid to say "yes" to things you normally may not try. This could be anything form extreme adventure, like jumping off bridges, to trying new foods, like guinea pig. Be adventurous is about being ready to exit your comfort zone and experiencing life.
In the next 5 months, I will encounter many adventures. It's up to me to accept the challenge and to grow with my adventures.
