One game has brought back my whole childhood.

The Hype Behind "Pokémon Go"

In the past couple of days, a new mobile game named "Pokémon Go" has taken the world by storm. Children, teens and yes, even adults have downloaded this new game. As a '90s child, Pokémon played a huge role in my childhood and was probably one of my favorite things growing up. Of course, when I heard about the release of the game and that people actually enjoyed it I had to download it immediately.

Right away I was hooked by "Pokémon Go,." It was like a childhood dream come true. Even though having real Pokémon is not possible this is the best next thing. Pokémon fans in America, Australia, and New Zealand have all been introduced to this game. Hopefully with the success of "Pokémon Go" the game will be available to many more countries worldwide.

To my surprise I was actually quite shocked by how many people have been playing the game. Considering I haven't watched or played with Pokémon since I was like 10, I was also surprised by how excited I was to actually play again. This game has definitely done an amazing job bringing nostalgia to my life.

Now I know many people are quite skeptical about what makes this Pokémon game so great, but in its defense this game is so different from any other video or mobile game I have ever played. Not only does this game make you feel like there are Pokémon in the real world, this game also encourages the players to exercise. In the game, the only way you can find more Pokémon is to go outside and walk around like your character had to do back in the old games. Who would have ever thought video games and exercise would go hand in hand?

The game also has other cool features that I enjoy a lot. One of my favorite options available is that you can take pictures of the Pokémon, which means you can even take selfies with them! Another aspect that I find very interesting is that the game incorporates your location into the action. For example, many of the Poké Stops are actually real places in your community like churches and stores.

It is definitely going to be interesting to see how this game will change over time, and how everyone else reacts to the game, but it is safe to say that I am a huge fan.

Time to go catch them all.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
