The 6 Hottest Hip-Hop Songs Right Now
Genius

Tired of Thanksgiving dinner table topics? Immerse yourself in the wave of new music! There are hundreds of songs being released every week, but who has the time to listen to them all? I do! As a hip-hop fanatic, I scour through music released every day to supplement my need for good music. I tend to like music with a good beat but other factors are taken into account. Here are my top 6 Hip-Hop songs out right now!

"Patient" - Post Malone

Release Date: November 18, 2016

Album: Stoney

Producer: N/A

Getting ready to debut his album Stoney, Post Malone proves that he isn't just a one-hit wonder. "Patient" has an infectious beat with a smooth hook that lets Malone's fans know that he's done being patient. "Stoney" will be here December 9th, and will feature Justin Bieber, 2 Chainz, Kehlani, and Quavo.

"Sidewalks" - The Weeknd ft. Kendrick Lamar

Release Date: November 25, 2016

Album: Starboy

Producer: McKinney • Bobby Raps Muhammad

Canadian superstar, The Weeknd, just released his 3rd studio album Starboy. A song like "Sidewalks" showcases The Weeknd's talents with the genius of Kendrick Lamar. I am not a huge Kendrick fan but I can surely understand why he is one of the best rappers alive. The Weeknd said working with K-Dot was like working with a "genius" and his commitment shows on this track.

"Redbone" - Childish Gambino

Release Date: November 17, 2016

Album: : Awaken, My Love!

Producer: Vinylz • Ludwig Göransson

Childish Gambino has been relatively quiet since his last project Kauai, which he released in 2014. He has since been busy with many movies and TV roles, especially with his hit television show "Atlanta". Gambino seems to be experimenting with his music on this album as there isn't any rapping thus far. Surprisingly, I ain't mad. "Redbone" has a smooth flow to it that puts a smile on my face and I don't even know why. This song is a must listen.

"Good Drank" - 2 Chainz

Release Date: November 18, 2016

Album: : Hibachi For Lunch

Producer: Mike Dean

What in the world? I like a 2 Chainz song? Even more surprising is that the majority of his mixtape Hibachi For Lunch was banging. Everyone needs to turn up to this mixtape because I never liked this many songs on a project much less from 2 Chainz. I liked every song except "Countin."

"Milestone" - Smoke DZA & Pete Rock ft. Jadakiss, Styles P, and BJ The Chicago Kid

Release Date: November 10, 2016

Album: : Don't Smoke Rock

Producer: Pete Rock

"Milestone" is just a smooth track with a old school vibe that I am a sucker for. BJ The Chicago Kid on the hook is probably what sold me. Have a listen to this gem and see if you feel the same way.

"Wrote My Way Out" - Nas, Dave East, Lin-Manuel Miranda & Aloe Blacc

Release Date: November 17, 2016

Album: : The Hamilton Mixtape

Producer: !llmind

Just wow. "Wrote My Way Out" is really a masterpiece if you ask me. It incorporates new sounds into track that is inspiring to just listen to. Nas killed his verse as usual and Lin-Manuel Miranda came out of nowhere! The Hamilton Mixtape was a project that was started in 2009 by Lin-Manuel Miranda which evolved into the Broadway musical Hamilton. "The Hamilton Mixtape" and expected to release on December 2, 2016.

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Barn Pros

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.
