1. Marvel's Spider-Man (2018)

This amazing game is being developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. The trailer was shown at E3 and the response from the crowd was phenomenal. With extreme raves and cheering, this is a guaranteed a spot at the Top 5 video games of this year. If the storyline of the game is not enough then, the stunning visuals presented will be sure to blow everyone away!

2. The Last of Us Part II (Early 2019)

The first game, "The Last of Us", is a fan favorite among many PS4 players and has earned over 200 "Game of The Year" awards and many other awards. This sequel has high expectations along with the many others on this list. I personally believe that this game will be an extreme thriller, due to its horror-adventure genre along with its exceptional graphics and a phenomenal story plot. The trailer dropped at PSX 2016 and the release date is still yet to be announced but expected to come out late 2018 and early 2019.

3. Detroit: Become Human (5/25/2018)

This upcoming game is another title to add to your collection of video games, especially if you have enjoyed the PS4 exclusive "Until Dawn". This game is very similar to "Until Dawn", where it is a choose your own adventure game style. In each scenario, you are presented with a couple of choices that you must make, and each choice contains a consequential action which will eventually affect the ending of your gameplay. The trailer was released at Pairs Game Week 2017. In the trailer, the concept of the game and its stunning visuals made this a must play for me in 2018.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.
