As the Cowboys open their season against the New York Giants they are having concerns about their star quarterback, Tony Romo. Romo suffered a back injury in a preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. According to the doctors, he will not play for six to ten weeks. This is not the first time Tony has gotten hurt causing the season to turn to shreds. Last season when the Cowboys went up against the Eagles, Tony suffered an injury on his collarbone. After his injury, he was put to rest in order to let the pain heal over a span of seven weeks. With the Cowboys struggling with a gloomy season, Romo made a comeback victory against the Dolphins. The next game against the Panthers, Romo was finished for the season as he suffered the same injury that put him out.

With Romo out for at least six games of the regular season, it's time for another quarterback to take over and manage the team. Dak Prescott is now the man to lead the team toward a hopeful victorious season. Prescott was drafted by the Cowboys on the 135th pick. As a Mississippi State Bulldog, Prescott had an incredible season in 2014 when he broke school records such as having a total of 4,435 yards, 27 touchdowns and 61% on completions. In the 2015 season, he improved a bit more during his senior year with 29 touchdowns and 588 rushing yards.
On his preseason debut against the Los Angeles Rams, Prescott has made some impressions as he went 78% on completions, made five touchdowns and no interceptions. The second game against Miami, Prescott shocked the Dolphins when he went 81% in completions for 338 yards, which lead the Cowboys to a 41-14 victory. By the end of the preseason, Prescott has made amazing statistics that make him look more like a veteran than a rookie. If Prescott keeps playing at this rate, the Cowboys should be fine without Tony Romo. Additionally, Prescott has the star running back, Ezekiel Elliot along with Dez Bryant and Jason Witten to assist him on the offense.
