'The Holiday Season Explained By 'New Girl'

Holiday season is personally my favorite time of the year. However, I know it can be a comically stressful and random time. The holiday season is for family, food, and faith. It is a time to reconnect and let loose. However, the holiday season can have some pretty funny and common moments that "New Girl" relates to just all too well.

When the fun cousin shows up to the party.

There is always that one cousin or family member that gets the party started. Or maybe you have more than one in your family. All you know is that it really starts pumping when they walk through the door. They get everyone up and moving. They talk about the funniest and most random things and you love them.

When your cheeks hurt from taking so many holiday pictures.

The holiday season seems to be bombarded with pictures. Between parties with friends and events with families, it seems like you are always in front of the camera. After a while, you can't really feel your face, but you should embrace it because these are the memories you will want to look back on. Wear that ugly Christmas sweater with pride and show off your jolly face.

When they ask you why you're late to everything.

Well, often times we have two or more events at the same time. Other times it is just who we are as a person. We tried our best to get here, but it just didn't happen. Just sign us up to bring dessert because it is a 50/50 chance that we will make it in time for the main course.

When you end up at the back of the food line.

What if there are no mash potatoes left? It might just be the end of the world. Okay so maybe that was a little dramatic, but come on people we are hungry.

When someone is not in the Christmas Spirit.

There are always those people who refuse to participate in the joy of Christmas. Sometimes you just have to sing a little louder to these people or throw more glitter on them. Okay, so maybe don't actually do that but try your best to spread the Christmas cheer.

Trying to pick out gifts for everybody.

I don't know about you but I have major gift anxiety. I feel so much pressure when picking out gifts for other people. I feel like it is a test to see how much I really know and understand that person. I just want everyone to genuinely like what I get them and that is very difficult.

When someone steals your dirty Santa gift from you.

Okay, but I had it first and it was really rude of you aunt Becky to steal these fuzzy socks from me. I'll remember that. Just kidding, but for real you all do not play nice!

When you get stuck at the kid's table.

I am an adult. Sure I still call my mom for a doctor's appointment but I deserve intellectual conversation. Who am I kidding? The kids' table is actually pretty entertaining.

Despite everything, it is a whole lot of awesome-ness.

It's the best time of the year. It's as simple as that.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
