It's not hard to point out who is from New England (or wannabe's) when you're traveling, sitting at a pub downtown or shopping around this new year. Fashion items vary from winter to summer, 90 degree fall days and -10 degree spring days and vice versa. These are some things to look for:
1. Sperry's
Usually used for boats, but we all know that's not always the case...
2. Patagonia Pullovers
You don't need to be hiking to rock one of these beauts! The kangaroo pocket is also the cutest thing ever, is it not?!
3. Bean Boots
If you don't have them... do you even New England?????
4. Vests
Any type of vest is acceptable. The fur vest above is a new trend, but olive green vests are making a come back. Any color vest can be thrown over any long sleeve! PSA: don't wear one with a tshirt, please......
5. Flannels
Because what in the world would we sleep in, go to the grocery store hungover in, dress up with, cover up at a party when you have a crop top but have to walk across campus in?
6. Tall boots
Any outfit can be complete with some killer boots! Rock the over knee, heel, lace up or flat in any color!
7. Bomber Jacket
Much like the olive green vest, olive green is taking over. Bomber jackets in olive green, black, brown and navy are super cute and casual for going out or hanging around!
8. Parka
The tundra may hit us any day here in NE. Even if the day before was 65 degrees. Have it ready!
9. Vineyard Vine Shep Shirt
If you're not big on VV that's fine, but you probably are because it's New England and the shep shirt is SO cozy and cute, coming in many styles and colors. You can rock a shep shirt with any jeans or shorts!
10. White Converse
If you're a typical New England girl without white converse, get some. Yes we all wore them in 6th grade, BUT THEY'RE BACK and trending hard. Rock them going out with a dress or with jeans and a hoodie for class!
11. Uggs
Because how are all the basic girls going to survive the harsh winter without them?
