The Help I Tried To Give.....

I don't know why, but I just can't give up

The Help I Tried To Give.....
Caitlynn Ledet

This past semester I went through an enormous amount of struggles and obstacles. Stress was heavily weighed on my shoulders throughout the semester from various things, but somehow, I made it. There will always be light at the end of the tunnel, but the biggest question you have to ask yourself is, "Am I willing to put in the work for my desired result?" You are the only one who can help you. Nobody can do your life for you, so you have to give it your all.

Throughout my semester, I found myself, my talent, and my outlook on life. You can either be optimistic or pessimistic. I live my life with an optimistic outlook and try to spread my positivity onto others. No matter what I was going through this semester, I wouldn't think twice to help someone if it was needed. I spent numerous amount of hours talking to friends, sisters, and family. I listened to their problems and gave my best advice, but they didn't always take it. It was like I was wasting my time because it went through one ear and out the other. This slowly made me angered because I was like whats the point. I then realized that it will matter and mean something to them one day.

Although they didn't listen or take the advice I just gave them for the situation, they will learn from it later. All of my friends come to me for advice. I am their go-to person for inspiration, positivity and motivation. No matter what is going on I will always be here for anyone and everyone. I have learned to be selfless and give to others. I am that girl who always has a Bible verse or quote for every situation. My life quote is, "Everything happens for a reason." I live day and night by this quote because no matter if my life is good or bad it all has a purpose.

One of my favorite Bible verses is, "I can do all thing through Christ my Lord, Who strengthens me." I believe that no matter what you want in life, if you want it bad enough you will get it. The best feeling to get is helping others and never asking for something in return, but I understand this can be tough at times. You invest your time into individuals who will continue with their old ways and let what you said go through one ear and out the other ear. Always remember that it is for a reason and it will mean something someday. No matter what happens always give it your all and help others because I promise in the end, you will notice the impact you made.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
