Last week, Lin-Manuel surprised the world, announcing the upcoming arrival of The Hamilton Mixtape, which is exactly what you think it would be.
Featuring some of Lin’s favorite musical artists, the new Hamilton album is a remix and modern take on Hamilton, diving deeper into the history of the era, and translating it through country, pop, and rap. If this sounds confusing, imagine the Hamilton Musical as photos taken with a disposable Kodak camera, and the Hamilton Mixtape as the photos’ negatives. It’s the same story but from a different perspective...
