Well, we all know what time it is. It's that time during every college semester that the students dread: Finals. After going through finals your first time, you learn some tips and tricks to help you survive finals which are now to be passed down in the Survival Guide.

Sleep

You may have heard the horror stories from other college students that finals week is the week of no sleep. But after my first finals week, I realized that sleep is imperative. Studying until 4 am and only getting two hours of sleep may not even do anything for you other than help you to fall asleep during the exam. So sleep as much before your exam. Being well rested is key.

Study Buddies

Find you a study buddy (or buddies). Not only can they help to keep you on track and from sitting there taking buzz feed quizzes instead of remembering the periodic table, they also can possibly help answer your questions if they're taking the same class.

Snacks

Snacks are a must have during finals. Whether its for that quick break in between your two back to back exams, or for a quick pick me up during your study power hour, snacks are a life saver. I would recommend protein bars or pretzels to help keep you alive during this week.

NAPS

If you have ever talked to a college student, they will tell you, naps are life. Even more so during finals. Naps are taken whenever you can, wherever you can (for example in a classroom, or on the promenade).

Starbucks

Almost every college campus these days has a Starbucks on campus. Those spots are going to be your lifesaver during finals. Whether you need a quick coffee before your 8 am physics final or to keep you awake after wards to study for your 2 pm Russian exam or you just need a cookie and a frappe to wipe up your tears that finals are causing. Starbucks is your friend.

Comfy Clothes

Most college girls will be sporting the above outfit for every final they enter, and that is because of the comfort factor. Whether you prefer the norts and the oversized tee or sweat pants and a tank top, being comfortable during your exam is so sooooo important.

Let Loose

By the time finals week is over, take a deep breathe. And let loose. Whether you do that by going to the pool or hitting up Frat row, you have to release all of that pent up tension.

Finals week is all about finding out what works for you. Figure out the way of studying that works best. Figure out the best way to relax on your off day. Figure out what works for you to get you through the week of death called Finals.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
