1. Going to all of the Bunnell-Stratford games and taking the rivalry extremely seriously

2. Paradise Green was the place to hang out when you were in middle school and had no car.

3. No matter where you are, there's probably a Dunkin' Donuts within a 5-mile radius

4. Being forced to go to Shelton, Trumbull, Milford, or Bridgeport because there's never anything to do

5. The only Dairy Queen we have is the one you can't even go inside

6. Lordship might be a part of Stratford, but we all know it's basically another country

7. The heartbreak you felt when the movie theater was replaced with an LA Fitness

8. Going to Gaetano's and experiencing true heaven

9. When The Edge moved to a bigger, more convenient location and it made everyone's lives better


10. Hanging out at the Seawall with your friends when there's nothing else to do

11. Being told countless times that you shouldn't go into the water at Short Beach

12. Seeing everyone and their mom at Duchess Diner on a Friday night

13. Not realizing that the lighthouse in the Snapchat filter is actually a real place

14. Trying to decide whether to go to the Trumbull or Milford Mall

15. Missing it when you're away because even though it's boring, it's home.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
