People tend to think that not wearing underwear is a strictly male thing to do. it is implied that girls who do it are sluts. This actually isn’t true. I recently conducted a poll in which the results were shocking.
Only 4 four out 25 guys have admitted to going commando. 2 of those 4 say that its only on occasion. On the other hand, 18 out of 25 girls admitted not wearing underwear. 15 of those do it from time to time.
The main reason for doing it is overall comfort. Women are usually concerned with the after shaving stubble where men are concerned with air circulation and reducing heat down there. Other great reasons for not wearing underwear are to prevent outfit malfunctions (visible lines) and to “spark the moment” with a partner.
There are major cons to this type of outfit choice. We wear underwear to prevent us from getting all types of infections and parasites, like lice. Once we take away that line of defense, we leave ourselves vulnerable. One con that people do not think about is not being able to change after having any sort of accident.
Now let’s talk about the places where it’s acceptable.
This is generally up to the particular person and their comfort level. Many things come into play, what you are wearing, where you work, what errands you need to run, how old you are, etc. Another concern for women would be whether they are on their period or not.
Recently I’ve been experimenting with this. It all started with one day I overslept and was running late for work. My job does not have a required uniform so I jumped out of bed, threw on pants, and went to work in the shirt I slept in. I haven’t been doing much recently besides going to work. The weather hasn’t been great so I have been wearing jeans. I don’t think I would be comfortable going to work without underwear on underneath a skirt or dress. Just going out to the mail box is one thing, but waiting tables is a whole other story.
Now of course, this subject doesn’t just apply to going on in public, but bedtime as well. What people do in their bedrooms is their business and no one else’s, so we won’t get into that.
