"The Good Place" is a show of not only life and death, but it explains all the in-betweens. The show has humor, sadness, romance, raunchiness, and a unique outlook on what happens after we die. All in all, it is forkin' real, and that's why we love it the most.

1. It makes us want to be good.

I don't know about you, but I have seen so many shows that cover the topic of "heaven and hell". However, I have never seen one that covers it quite like "The Good Place". This show explains that the only way you get into the good place after you pass is if you were a good person on Earth.

This concept is so amazing to me. Instead of having to be blessed under religion, it focuses on morals and what mark you leave on Earth. Since watching this show, it has made me think really hard about my decisions and whether or not they are kind. It makes you want to be a good person!

2. It's simply hilarious.

How can you not laugh at this show? It's so forkin' funny! "The Good Place" is just one of those shows that is simply hilarious. With all the witty lines and crazy things that happen, it will for sure make you laugh.

The show also makes you look on the brighter side of life. When things get a little too tough, laugh it out or crack a joke. That's what they thrive on in "The Good Place".

3. The twist and turns will have you shocked.

This show doesn't start out like any other show. You don't find out what the whole plot even is until the ending of the first season. When it starts, you do not even know that the good place is actually the bad place in disguise. Finding that out blows your mind.

But it doesn't end there. With all the resets on their afterlife, the love triangles, and the plots, you honestly never know what is going to happen next.

4. Chidi and Eleanor.

Anyone who knows Chidi and Eleanor knows that they are complete opposites. But for some reason, it works. The two start out hating one another, but soon, they learn to love and appreciate one another. The thing we love about them most of all is that no matter how many times they lose each other, they always fall madly in love again.

Let's be honest, who doesn't love a good romance?

5. It shows that people can change.

Last but not least, the main reason we love "The Good Place" is the turnaround that the characters make. Every single character does a 360 in this show, even Micheal, who is a literal demon. It shows that, with just a little push in the right direction, you can change immensely.

All in all, "The Good Place" is an amazing, real, and moving show. It inspires you to get out of your head and start living a more positive and carefree life!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
