1. God's endless love for us.

John 3:16-17

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the tower to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through."

This scripture alone is so powerful. Verse 16 is the only scripture in the Bible that you can replace the word "whoever" with YOUR NAME or anyone else's name and it still holds up to be a true statement. Jesus loves you and was sent by Our Father to save us. How powerful??

2. John the Baptist shows one of the greatest examples of humbling ourselves before Christ.

John 3:28

"You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, "I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him."

John goes on to say in verses 30 & 31 "He must increase, but I must decrease. He who comes from above is above all."

John The Baptist was thought to be sent from God and he tells his disciples that he truly is not the Son of God, but it is Jesus, and that we have to humble ourselves and realize God is above all! That God knows all and makes all, that we should not be afraid that submit to the Lord knowing we are in good hands!

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."
