The friend zone: the scariest zone in the world for most guys and almost impossible to sneak out of. More people have escaped maximum security prison than have made it out of the friend zone. Don't quote me on this, but I believe more people have crossed the DMZ than have successfully made it out of the friend zone. I am saying that the friend zone is everywhere, and it is taking casualties just about every second.

The title of this article is "The Good Friend Zone," and some of you will question if this is even a possible thing. It is, and it is not the end of your life.

What is the good friend zone? The good friend zone is simply being friends with someone of the opposite sex with no intentions of dating or involving yourself in any relationship with them. It is crazy to think that people just don't believe in being friends with the opposite sex anymore. Humans were put on this earth to interact, and being friends won't kill your hormones. Trust me.

Men: Women are human beings, so we should respect them. Yes, boyfriends are considered the people who take care of ladies, but ladies might sometimes need a friend to be there for them. Someone who is not their girl friend who will sit and drink wine with them. A male figure who can keep their head up when other guys mess up is something a girl could use. There are so many girls you would fight for if someone let them down or made them cry. I just want to simply say stop thinking so much with your hormones and be a good friend. Friendships are starting to get lost in this odd world.

Women: This one is a little difficult. I'm aware that the majority of women have a feeling that men want to get with you. Trust me, I am aware. I'm just here to say that a guy needs a girl sometimes, as a friend. Being there for a male is hard. Men like to hide emotions, and it's not rare for a guy to like a girl he opened up to, but a woman is key to a male's life. That key unlocks the door of support. Our mothers are nurturers, but we do not want to go to our mothers for certain things. That's where the lady friend comes in. Guys can have female friends, and this rarity needs to happen more often.

Listen, the good friend zone is not even a friend zone. It is just my way of playing on popular culture to bring friendships back into this world. You like someone, you are put into the friend zone, you should make the best of it. No one wants to be lonely, just be a friend.
