Yes, this article is for you.But it's not just you Gina. It's that your words and your message connected with literally millions of people. So here is what I have to say in response to your article, and anyone who read it with applause.

I think I know why you aren't a feminist. You think we don't need it and that we hate all men. However, that is simply not true. I am not here to call you out or say that you are a woman hater, but I am here to educate you on why you should be a feminist because I believe EVERYONE should be one.

Feminists want equal rights for everyone, and by "everyone," I mean EVERYONE. Vagina or no vagina we all deserve to be equal. Feminists don't want to have more rights than men and we do not believe we are the supreme gender (even though you don't have to be female to be a feminist), all we want is to be the same. We want equal pay because no we actually do not have that. Women are paid 80 cents for every dollar a man makes and women of color are even paid less. Women are constantly targeted and harassed day by day. Girls as young as eight are targeted by men and are called vulgar names and seen as objects rather than actual people.

That is why we still need feminism, because we should not feel uncomfortable to walk outside in a skirt or feel bad when someone tells us we "deserved it." We need feminism because a rapist only got three months in jail, and his family has the audacity to blame it on the victim for getting "too drunk". We have every right to wear what we want and act how we want without being scared of men around us.

It's not only our country we have to worry about, we still need feminism because around the world people are targeted every day. Transgender girls cannot be proud to be themselves and women from other countries are treated as nothing more than property, and that has to change.

We especially do not hate men. I am a feminist and I don't have hairy armpits or live a lonely life of hating men. Furthermore, we aren't all females. We are a group of unique individuals who have our own reasons for wanting feminism. Stop thinking we're some stereotype. All I want is equality for all, and I will fight for that.

Please remember that without feminism we would not have rights today. We would not be able to vote and dress how we'd like (even though there are still problems with that). We wouldn't have the jobs we have today and we wouldn't have a say in anything.

Feminism is here to bring equality, not separation.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
