Hey beautiful,
You may be the type of girl that walks around like she loves herself, but in reality you go home and you cry because you hate everything about yourself. You may be the girl who pretends to have so much confidence, but in reality you have very little, if any at all.
Let me just tell you, faking confidence is one of the hardest things to do. You try to pretend you love yourself so much, then in reality, you are around all of these beautiful people who make you feel even worse about yourself, or you see the Victoria Secret models on television or on the advertisements.
Media has a tendency to create this false image of "perfect" that we go by, hen that makes us feel even worse about ourselves. It's like no matter how many people tell you that you are beautiful or you are gorgeous, you just do not feel it for yourself.
I have started to realize why loving yourself is so hard but hating yourself is so easy for people. When you think of yourself you see all the negative and all the things that not a lot of people know about you.
You see the stuff that has happened in your past, all the flaws that you possess, basically everything that does not make you "perfect" in society's eyes. All of your flaws and experiences make people who they are.
You have some qualities in you that nobody else in this entire world can possess, and that is what makes you the glorious person you are. Rather than be ashamed of the qualities and insecurities you have, embrace them. They set you apart from anyone else in this world.
Have you had those days that you just don't want to look at yourself because you don't feel pretty or you feel fat, or you can see your stomach sticking out from underneath your boobs?
I want you to know that you are more than the numbers that are your weight. Learn to embrace who you are, because you are the only you. So what if your stomach sticks out! Or have you had those nights where you cry for hours until you finally fall asleep hours later because you just do not feel like you are enough for yourself or anyone else?
I am going to tell you something that you probably hear A LOT, love yourself and be who you are. Your parents, significant other, friends, siblings, and family love you so much and they just want you to be happy and who you truly are. If they can not accept you for you, then they may not truly love you for you.
I am starting to learn to love myself a little more everyday. I have gained some confidence about myself and I have even been able to do things I would never have imagined me doing. So love yourself girl, because you are perfect the way you are!
Love,
The girl who's slowly starting to love herself
