To the girl who comes after me,

I knew this day would come. I knew someone else would fall in love with the boy who I once loved so dearly. For a long time, I hoped you never would come. As time went on though, I'm glad you did. Everyone deserves to be happy and I hope you both provide that for one another. Even though I wasn't the one for him, I hope you are for him. This man is a good man. I am glad you get to experience that with him.

This man has a heart of gold

Don't mistake him for being weak though. Just because he's a good man, doesn't mean you can walk all over him. Don't take him for granted. Be patient, be kind. He has been through a lot. He may be very guarded and it may be hard for him at first. Be patient, be kind. In return, he will do the same. Listen to him. He won't always say how he feels, but if you are there for him and listen, he will open up.

Just don't give up on him.

He will treat you like gold just like you are a princess. He will love you unconditionally. You will be his world. It won't be easy all the time. You will fight. He will fight for you and I hope you do the same for him. I promise it will be worth it though.

He may never mention me. We had a great love, but it just didn't work out. The door is closed on our past relationship and I hope he opens a new one for you.

At one point in time, he was my best friend and I hope he is yours too.

You can tell him anything and he would never tell a soul. He is a good man. He has some baggage, but we all do. This one is worth fighting for, I promise you that.
