To the girl that feels too deeply,

You take everything to heart. You feel every burden as though it will never pass. Every feeling you feel is felt so very deeply. It's painful and frustrating and exhausting. You wish you could just let go and breathe easy for once. But some girls just aren't like that.

You read too much into the things people say. You overthink things to the point of hysteria. You can't help but to feel every feeling like it's your last. You care too much when the other person doesn't care at all. But feeling too deeply does not have to be a bad thing. You learn how to move past things that seem so debilitating to you because you simply have no other choice but to let go or let the feeling destroy you.

When you love, you love hard. When you care, you probably won't ever stop caring. When you realize your true calling in life, you don't stop until you get there. You are mentally strong because you have overcame those things that have pierced your heart and left you bleeding. You have risen from your worst times and know how to survive those deep, gut-wrenching feelings. You are strong because you feel too deeply and you feel too deeply because you were born to know how to handle it. You are amazing and I admire your strength. I know how strong you are because I am one of you and I am learning the power of my strength every day.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
