Why Lorelai and Rory Gilmore are the Ultimate Goals

First of all, if you’ve never watched Gilmore Girls, you’re doing life wrong. Gilmore Girls isn’t just a show, it's a lifestyle. Whether you’re close to your mom or not, you can still relate to it in some way and you would certainly agree that Lorelai and Rory are the ultimate mother/daughter goals. Their relationship is one of a kind, truly like no other. They will make you laugh, cry and everything in between. I’m pretty sure I could give about 100 reasons why their relationship is goals, but here's the top 10.

1. They're Close

By close, I mean close. They're practically the same person. Nothing is off limits. Boy troubles? Outfit troubles? Super personal troubles? Like I said, nothing is off limits with these two.

2. They're each others biggest fans

No matter what they do, they support each other 100%. They cheer each other on even if they look crazy doing it. When Rory graduated, Lorelai was right up front crying and screaming. When Lorelai opened the Dragonfly Inn, Rory was the first one inside. No matter what, they're always supporting the other, even if they don't always agree with it.

3. Their sense of humor

They have the weirdest, most unusual sense of humor that no one else could ever understand. The number of inside jokes and odd habits are endless. No one understands them except them.

4. Their weird eating habits

If Lorelai and Rory do one thing right, it's eating. For being so tiny, they sure can eat. Whether it be pizza and five pounds of candy for a movie night or burgers and three plates of cheese fries at Lukes, the duo sure knows how to eat well.

5. They love life

It doesn't take much to make them happy. Snow, candy, coffee, The Godfather. Things that most people wouldn't care about make this duo overly excited. It's the little things in life, right?

6. They give each other good advice

Although they're not serious 95% of their lives, when it comes down to it, they've had some pretty awesome heart to hearts. They both know exactly what to say to the other to help them, and throwing a quick sarcastic comment in always makes it better.

7. They fight, they make up

They sure don't fight very often, but when they do, their makeup sessions are of so sweet. A few arguments here and there are good for a relationship as long as you get past them. If anything, fighting just brings them closer together.

8. They're a force to be reckoned with

Alone, they're both extremely powerful and independent women, but together, they're unstoppable. A dynamic duo that can never be replaced. Everyone knows that they always get their way no matter what, and arguing against them is pretty much useless. They're mischevious, and they're women. They'll always win.

9. They're best friends

Not only do they have a great mother daughter relationship, but they're also each other's best friends. They do everything together. They help each other pick out clothes, go shopping together, they even go on dates together sometimes. A mom and a best friend all in one, the perfect package.

10. They're the Gilmore Girls

This really doesn't even need an explanation. The Gilmore Girls are iconic. The most famous mother/daughter duo we know. Who doesn't love the Gilmore Girls and wish they could be them?

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
