IT'SSSSSSSSS 20 QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome back for this week's fun! Tonight's game is a classic, and no, there won't be any vowel-buying, but you all know how to play because I am throw-throw-throwing it back to the third-grade playground.
Some ground rules in case you didn’t go to third grade: The person/place/thing wants to identify itself but needs our help, so it proceeds to ask twenty "yes or no" questions in order to find its identity (and probably some peace of mind).
I'll be your host this evening and my guest star, who cannot "come on down," will introduce it/himself after while. Well, dim the lights...here we go...
- Am I a person?
- No (You’d like to be)
- Am I a place
- Yes
- Can you eat at me?
- Heck yes
- Do you eat at me early in the morning?
- If you mean finishing cereal boxes at 1 a.m., then, most definitely
- Do I serve you food?
- Yes (but it’s terrible)
- Am I a restaurant?
- No
- Do you sleep at me?
- Yes. Your bed saves me from all hours of the day. On Saturdays, we even sleep in until…”Can I tell my mom I slept until 5pm today? Or should I say 11am?”
- Am I your home?
- No. I’m sorry for the confusion. I understand that occasionally I accidentally call you home, but no, you are not home.
- Do you have a roommate?
- Yes
- Has she become your best friend?
- THE best.
- Do you guys bring company over?
- Yes
- Has this company turned into lifelong friends?
- Yes! How did you know?
- Do you laugh in me?
- Sometimes we can’t stop
- Do you cry in me?
- Caught me- yes.
- Have you learned things in me?
- Yes — too much
- Do you only learn school things?
- No. You have taught us so much more.
- Do I protect you?
- If you are referring to the knocks on the door that we don’t want to answer, then yes.
- Do you stay at me forever?
- No.
- Will new girls come and replace you guys?
- Yes, new girls will come, but no they will not replace us.
- Am I a dorm room?
- Yes, you are my dorm room, 2409, and I love you so.
BONUS ROUND!!!
- Will you miss me?
- More than you know.
The memories are endless when it comes to this dorm room. At first, it was cloudy and I could not see the beauty, but it really has become a perfect little gem. There is nothing I needed more than for this room to cramp my style. It quickly taught me that life is not about a room to yourself with a full sized bed. My roommate and I quickly learned how to kill our own bugs. But most importantly, we quickly learned how to make the best out of every situation. 2409, I am so grateful for all you have taught us. You really were the best host for our first year in college, and for that, I thank you. Like I said, we won’t be replaceable, but I would start worrying if the girls next year don’t come in with an area rug. You KNOW they won’t be the same. And for that, I am truly sorry.
*turns to audience* Everyone, give it up for 2409! *crowd goes wild*
Well, that’s all we have time for this week, folks. Yourhomegirl signing off. Have a great night, and we'll see you next week!
