We live in a foodie era, for the first time in a long time there are more cooking programs on the internet and TV that have cult followings. I personally love cooking and culinary programs. Whether it be restaurant reviews or one v. one cook offs, the culinary arts provide excitement and entertainment that can't be matched by anything else. In this article, I will be talking about five of my favorite programs and the mediums in which they are on.

1. The Layover:

The Layover is a TV show hosted by Chef Anthony Bourdain. The show feature a plotline where Chef Bourdain travels from place to place and hits as many favored restaraunts as he can within a short "layover" time span. The Layover can be found and watched on Netflix.

2. Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives Collection:

Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives Collection is a TV show hosted by Chef Guy Fieri. The show travels the country looking for exactly what it advertises, The best diners, drive-In's, and Dives. I like this show because it doesn't focus on upscale dining but rather small local spots. The show can be found and watched on netflix.

3. F*ck That's Delicious:

F*ck That's Delicious, started out as a web series on Vice Media's Munchies channel but has made it's way into a full fledged TV show on Viceland. The show is hosted by rapper and former Chef Action Bronson. The show goes around the world focused on finding good food and the culinary geniuses that make it. The show can be found on youtube or watched on the viceland channel.

4. Chef's Table:

Chef's Table is a documentary style culinary show created by David Gelb the director of the movie The Lazarus Effect. This show shines light on michellin starred chef's across the globe. It goes into the chef's life and their restaraunt. It was created for and can be found on Netflix.

5. Chef's Night Out:

Chef's Night Out is a show that focuses in a Chef's point of view. It is usually hosted by different Chef's per episode and focuses on community dining (aka San Francisco food scene, etc.) It is produced on Vice Media's Munchies channel and can be found on YouTube.

Culinary entertainment isn't what it was 5 years ago. The genre a seeing a nice shift into the art aspect of cooking. It's no longer just about watching someone cook food but rather the importance of food and what goes on behind the scenes. Food Journalism is changing in America and across the world. It is becoming something incredible and as a foodie, I'm excited to see where it goes from here.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
