ABC News

On Monday, August 1st, the bachelorette, Joelle a.k.a. Jojo Fletcher will choose her fiancé in what was a whirlwind of a season. First, lets talk about our final suitors.

Suitors

Jordan Rodgers

Jordan is a former pro-quarterback pursuing a career in broadcasting. Jordan has been the front runner from the very beginning, Jojo gave Jordan the elusive first impression rose. On the previous season on the bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe chose to become engaged to the man she gave her first impression rose to, Shawn. There has been some turmoil surrounding Jordan. On the show, it has been addressed that his family is estranged from his older brother. His older brother just happens to be Green Bay Packers QB, Aaron Rodger. #Cheeseheads4lyfe It has also been reported by multiple media sources that Jordan entered the show for fame and nothing more. It has also been reported that Jordan and Jojo had been in contact before the show started, but no one seems to know or really care.

Robby Hayes

Then we have Robby... also a former pro-athlete, this time a swimmer. Although Robby did not stand out in the first few episodes, as the season went on, it was clear he had a connection with Jojo. Much like Jordan, there has been turmoil surrounding Robby as well. Before joining the bachelorette, Robby was in an on-and-off relationship that was rumored to come to a final end because he wanted to be on the bachelorette. This issue was addressed during Jojo and Robbys hometown date, where he strongly denied breaking it off to join the show, but instead that it had run its course.

My Pick: Jordan

They both are probably only in it for fame, but what grown adult goes by the name Robby? Really?

Okay, to the more important part, who is the next bachelor... we have a few options from Jojo's season.

The Bachelor Options

1. The Runner Up

Not likely judging from the past seasons. And neither these guys deserve it so hopefully this is a no go.

2. Luke Pell

Luke was eliminated after hometown dates. Jojo stated that he hadn't told her he loved her and that made her apprehensive about the relationship. Luke is a war veteran who spent 9 years in the military. He's a country boy who is currently pursuing a music career in Nashville. The Luke that America has come to know and love is a hard-working, honest, passionate guy who really just wants to open up and find the one.

3. Chase McNary

Chase made it to the final 3, only for Jojo to take him to the fantasy suite, convince him to tell her he loves her, and then tells him she doesn't feel the same. Chase is a medical sales representative from Denver. Chase seemed to be in the background for majority of the season, but in all that time he was establishing a strong relationship with Jojo. Towards the end, the audience got to see more of the sweet, reserved, and genuine side of Chase.

My Pick: Luke Pell

Most likely due to my small town values and respect for his service. Luke is a genuine choice who deserves to be happy. Chase deserves that as well, so either would be a good choice and I will definitely be tuning in no matter who ABC chooses.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
