Everyone has a person or people in their lives that they might not always keep in contact with or that have just sort of drifted out of their life with no reason except the two of you just don't keep in touch anymore. However, it doesn't mean that those people are not special to you anymore. Like many others, I am not all that great at keeping in contact with friends and people I really do consider close friends. So, whether you're one of my high school friends, college, or family friends that I've somehow lost touch with lately, here are some things I want you all to know:

1. I still consider you a close friend even if we rarely talk or see each other.

I'll always consider you a friend no matter what.

2. I keep up with your life on social media.

I LOVE seeing you post about your life and how good you're doing.

3. I still think and laugh about all of our fun memories.

Who could forget most of them?

4. I would be so happy if we could meet and catch up sometime.

I'm really sorry we haven't done so recently, but I understand your life is busy, and please understand that mine is too.

5. I still look at all of our pictures together and probably (most likely) have some framed or still hanging up in my room.

They might be older pics, but the memories still bring a smile to my face.

6. I really do wish we talked and saw each other more often.

Again, I'm sorry and hope you understand. Maybe this is something we can work on?

7. I am always here if you need me for absolutely anything.

Like I said, I still and always will consider you a close friend.

8. You will forever be my friend. Love you and hope to see you soon!

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
