Who are you?

If anyone were to ask you this question, how are you supposed to answer?

Do you know who you are?

Do you know what your purpose is during your existence?

Do you fully embrace the life that has been predestined for you?

When you are asked a question in which you are forced to look into the deepest layers that make up your body and soul, are you frightened by what you might find?

We live in a society that is constantly changing. Everything around us is constantly moving at a faster pace than we ever will.

Technology controls our minds and our motions.

Fashion is constantly changing.

Communication with others is through a screen rather than through our eyes.

With all these things taking place around us, can we really know who we are?

We are shaped by our surroundings, whether it is friends, family, coworkers, etc.

We are not the same person we were one week ago.

We are not the same person we were two minutes ago.

Our minds are constantly changing with each moment that happens in our lives.

As time passes, our minds morph us into the people we think we are meant to be. If you look around you, there are others who believe they are the same person as you. You begin to share certain traits with others that were supposed to be traits only you had.

Whatever it may be, there is someone else out there who believes they are finding themselves in the same actions and thoughts as you.

Would this make us all the same person?

Is our predetermined paths just a distraction for the human mind to process the reality that we are all the same person and that regardless of the paths we are on, we are ultimately living the same life as others, even those we do not know?

You assume you know yourself, but in reality you only know as much about yourself as those who know nothing about you at all.

One characteristic gives others your story.

One realization gives you the truth.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
