You can't have a movie night without a Chick Flick because they are by far one of the the best movie genre out there and in this article we will declare the 5 best of the best Chick Flicks's from the golden age of Chick Flick's, the 2000's.
1) The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005)
Four friends, one pair of pants. Aside from the amazing plot, this gem of a film holds immense feelings of nostalgia for most late 90's/early 2000's babies. With an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score of 77%, this movie follows four best friends who, even after going their separate ways, are connected by a pair of pants that fit all four of them perfectly and keeps their bond tight.
2) 13 Going On 30 (2003)
This Chick Flick/RomCom offers a plethora of bright moments and understated humor, despite all the understandable collisions between lives of a teenagers and a fully grown adults. The comfort movie follows a feel-good fairy tale where teenager Jenna (Christa B. Allen) wants a boyfriend. When she's unable to find one, she fantasizes about being a well-adjusted adult and to her surprise if magically transported to 17 years later when she is a 30 year old adult. But with adulthood, a whole new set of male-female challenges that Jenna has to play through.
3) High School Musical (2006)
It would be a disgrace if this film was not on the list considering the fact that it changed so many people's childhood. This movie and its sequels claimed the hearts of every young children/teenagers who had access to Disney Channel. And soon it became apart of peoples lives with DVDs, pillow cases, life-sized posters, alarm clocks to notebooks and clothing with their faces on it.
4) She's the Man (2006)
Not only was this movie a comedic masterpiece, it was also based upon Shakespeare's play the Twelfth Night. Andy Hickman's, She's the Man follows Viola Johnson who will do anything, even fake being a boy, in order to play soccer.
5) Legally Blonde (2001)
This film follows Elle Woods a rich, sorority girl who attempts to "win back her ex-boyfriend Warner Huntington III by getting a Juris Doctor degree at Harvard Law School. and in the process, overcomes stereotypes against blondes and triumphs as a successful lawyer through unflappable self-confidence and fashion/beauty knowhow."
