The First Semester In Your Sorority, As Told By The NFL

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are basically sorority girls... right?

So you and your parents have successfully moved you into your brand new jail cell dorm room...

And you went through rush week and it probably went something like this:

And you ran from house to house like:

But then bid day came around and you looked about as happy as Tom Brady winning the super bowl... again.

Now you have all your new sisters and you're throwing up your new hand signs while wearing your new jersey...

You screamed your new letters and put them in every bio on every social media platform.

You got your bid day big and she starts teaching you all the ropes.

As time passes, you get ready to go to your first swap... but first, you go to the pregame.

It's all fun and games until you realize it's just a bunch of sweaty freshman grinding on each other but you don't really care... because you're too intoxicated to care.

Your big looks at you across the band room like:

Because she sees you finally talking to that boy from your geography lecture that you've been in love with since the first day of class.

You learn to realize that the sorority you pledged isn't all partying and it's really all worth it. You find amazing friends and it's more than you could ever ask for.

You wave your letters around because they mean just that much to you.

You get excited because you finally get to experience football season and you even get a cute little button that says "XYZ loves the ____."

Then, when you finally get initiated, it's one of the best things ever. You feel so connected with thousands of other women.

You come out of initiation like...

because you're finally active and no longer have to follow the cup rule and now you can get on raised surfaces...

Then at your first swap after initiation, you fall off of a raised surface and face plant like...

But you took it like a champ.

And standards and your former new member educator look at you like:

And you go to your first sisterhood event and truly bond with your sisters.

Sometime in between, you have a date party/date function and you manage to find yourself a date and you feel like a boss.

You also get to go to your first philanthropy event and realize that you do have to do work but it's all worth it because you love your foundation.

It's the end of the semester and you realize that you have to leave everyone you love and all of your friends.

But then someone reminds you about spring semester darties and all is well.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
