For most of the college students out there, they've been back at school for about a month. While it's great to be back on campus with friends, classmates, and activities, being back at school brings tests, quizzes, homework, stress, caffeine, and a lack of sleep. College is great, but it definitely has its ups and downs. While scrolling online one day, I noticed a multitude of things referencing TV show titled "The Big Bang Theory." I sat back and thought about all the wonderful references that could be made to college! So here is just a short complication of thoughts, feelings, events, and emotions that might occur during the first month of college told by "The Big Bang Theory."
*Stepped onto campus for first day of classes* "Let's do this!"
Your professor said attendance was optional.
You showed up to class during the first week and there was a pop quiz. No worries; you aced it.
But wait, there was that one time you didn't do the reading and you failed the quiz. Oops.
You put off homework until the night before it was due, but you finished and even had time to sleep before class.
You asked your professor for help because you didn't understand a concept and they looked at you like:
College started to get a little stressful, so you decided to try new activities to relieve stress. You might still be finding what's best for you.
How you answered when someone asked you what was stressful about college.
Classes started to get a little, or a lot, harder.
You didn't just have one panic attack, you had a few.
You had to pull an all-nighter. The look you gave your roommate(s) when they found you:
You finished a gigantic assignment in time for class, but professor decided to change the due date.
That moment when all you wanted to do was avoid every responsibility and obligation.
What you did and how you felt after an exhausting day.
That feeling you had after studying for hours for a test and you still don't feel good about how you did.
This thought happened around week 3.
When you warned the freshmen about college. (But in all reality, it isn't that bad.)
