The first week of classes is officially over and the semester is now officially underway. However, to me and everyone I've talked to in the last week, it seems like we've been in class for weeks. So here to lighten the mood and take your mind off of your new assignments and quizzes is the story of the first day of classes.
You wake up on the first day of classes, chipper and ready to face the day with a dazzling smile, but you realize the only way you can get through four classes in a row before two in the afternoon is by eating a healthy breakfast:
Once you've eaten everything in sight...no, really:
It's finally time to get ready for school. So you decide to make yourself look as good as possible and spend a ton of time getting ready for class. You may even shower. But either way, if you look like this:
Or like this:
No one is going to judge you, because they truly don't care. So after you've decided you're presentable enough for society, you head out the door and decide that it's nice enough outside to bike to class:
Once you finally make it to your first class, you sit down and look around for people you may know. Literally anyone to talk to in order to make it seem less awkward that you're now sweaty and gross from the physical exertion, as well as completely alone:
Once class starts, however, you remember that you're freedom has basically been taken away from you for the next fifteen weeks and you want to get out of there as soon as possible:
At the end of the day, when you finally walk into your room and realize it's over and you've survived the first day of class, you celebrate:
And then you take a seven hour long nap and wake up really confused:
Happy first week of classes!
