With graduation quickly approaching, every graduating senior is feeling a mix of emotions. And although Gavin may only be five years old, he seems to be the only person we can count on to accurately describe these feelings.
When you realize you only have a few weeks left of college.
Graduation season is upon us, which means it is almost time for us graduating seniors to say good bye. Our nights of recklessness and partying are quickly coming to an end and reality is kicking in. We are about to enter the real world and although we might be terrified, we don’t really have a choice.
When everyone keeps asking what your plans after graduating are.
After four years of college, you would think you’d have everything figured out. For those who do, congrats, but for those of us who don’t, lets keep avoiding this question for as long as we can.
When you try to go out drinking every night while you still can.
Although we may be washed up seniors, this doesn’t mean were going to party any less than the freshman. Sooner than later we will all be working real life jobs and saying no to a night of drinking. So why not drink every night while you still can?
How you feel when you just want the semester to be over but you don’t actually want to have to graduate.
The last few weeks of the semester are hard enough at any age. However, being a senior means constantly battling the feelings of anxiousness for the semester to finally be over, and the want for it to last a little bit longer.
When you know you have assignments to finish but you don’t want to do them.
You would think by your senior year you would have finally learned your lesson on procrastination, right? Wrong. These last few weeks probably came faster than you had expected which means you most likely have a ton of assignments today. It also probably means you have no motivation to do any of them.
When it’s finally time to take those graduation pictures.
Admit it, every one looks forward to taking them. Not only is it a guaranteed 200+ likes on instagram, but its also a time for us all to do a little bit of well deserved bragging.
When you finish your last final and can relax a little.
There is truly no better feeling than walking out of your last final and finally being able to lay in bed all day and no longer have to use your brain.
...then you remember you’re about to enter the adult world.
Although the stress of school and finals may be over, the real world is upon us. With that comes new challenges to overcome and stresses to face. Luckily, thanks to college, we are well prepared.
When you realize these were the best four years of your life.
We all wish we could stay here a little longer, but we are still thankful for the time we got. The past four years have taught us many lessons, brought us the best of friends, and given us the greatest memories.
