It's already that time of the year again... finals!
Thanksgiving is over and I can't believe it's already almost December. Christmas and New Years are right around the corner but first college students have to get through one of the most stressful times of the year, finals. All of our classes have super long essays due right around the same time. Numerous presentations are coming up in the last final weeks of classes. And then to top it all off we have to study for those long final exams. All of this work can be extremely overwhelming and stressful but if we keep some things in mind, we can make it more manageable.
Don't forget to breathe. Take a deep breath before that presentation. Take a deep breath before you begin that 100 multiple choice question exam. Don't be so caught up in the worry and stress that you forget to take a moment and breathe before you begin.
Don't forget to sleep. Don't pull an all-nighter before that big exam. Trust me, it's not going to make you do any better on it. If you don't know the material at all the night before then the best thing you can do is get a good night's sleep and be rested for the exam the next day.
Don't forget to eat. Take that 30 minute break from studying to eat a good meal. Your grade will not suffer from that 30 minutes you took to nourish yourself. It might even make you feel better and perform better on the day of the exam.
Do your absolute best and then forget about it. After that exam is over, stop worrying about it. What's done is done and you can't go back an change it. Don't anxiously await your final grade, just know you did the best you could and you'll find out what you got on it soon enough.
I wish all of my fellow panthers the best of luck on all of their finals this year! You guys are the best and we'll rock it.
