In this year's presidential election, one name is constantly being talked about for numerous reasons: Donald Trump. Trump is the leader in the Republican Party race for the nomination and has grown to be both the most supported and most hated man in the election. However, one thing is for certain -- he has no problem speaking his mind about his competitors and even other people who catch the public’s eye. The most famous was his social war against Rosie O’Donnell and, more recently, fellow candidate, Jeb Bush.
One thing that Trump refuses to let anyone forget is that he believes that he fears no none. Unfortunately for Donald, and those who believe his ego driven speeches, he is indeed afraid of a few people, and the worst part is none of them are even world leaders. But, nevertheless, here they are.
New Hampshire Governor John Sununu
Granted, the Republican Party candidates are all pulling out the stops in order to get the election, some even resort to blatant insults. However, it’s pretty bad when a Republican Party member who’s not even running for president decides to bash you on national television with facts that support his ideas. Governor John Sununu called the former "Apprentice" host a loser. "He’s been a loser his whole life," he said in a televised interview.
Governor Sununu then went on to back that insult up by mentioning Trump's huge failures which include four different bankruptcies from the Trump Empire. So what did the self-proclaimed winner say in his own defense? “I’m not a loser, you’re a loser.” Like a child on the playground in elementary school who can’t think of a good enough comeback -- nice try, Mr. Trump.
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin
Now, for those of you who don’t know this man, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is a retired professional wrestler who has reached legendary status with World Wrestling Entertainment. Usually, professional wrestlers portray a false persona for entertainment but Austin was the first one who just decided to be himself and do away with any false identity he was told to portray. So what was Austin’s true self? A beer swigging redneck who had a crazy temper and had absolutely no problem hurting people just on the sole fact that he felt like it.
So where does Donald Trump play into this? Well, Donald Trump actually appeared on WWE’s flagship show, "WrestleMania," back in 2007. He and the owner of WWE each picked a wrestler to fight for them in a “battle of the billionaires match,” with Steve Austin as a special guest referee. Long story short, Trump won and when Austin went to raise his hand he instead kicked the Republican Party candidate in the gut and gave him his finishing maneuver -- the “Stone Cold Stunner.” Although it was all scripted and Trump didn’t suffer any severe injuries, try and look at it in a different perspective. The possible next President of the United States -- whose ego is bigger than China -- backed down and let a Texas-born sociopath embarrass him on national television. If Trump’s ego cracked under the pressure of an American-born wrestler, how is he going to handle global threats?
This election has developed into something that can now be called dangerous, as of late. At Trump rallies, protesters have made their voice known about their hate towards Trump, some even being beaten by Trump supporters for it. However, in a recent rally from the big man, an anti-Trump protester got as far as hopping up on the stage with Trump in order to be heard by the people. How did the billionaire master of the universe react? By jumping backwards and holding his hands up in fear as if he was saying “please don’t hurt me.” Smooth Donald, a true Braveheart you are. Although nothing came from this, it made Donald change his wording when speaking at his own rallies. Now, granted, when a huge portion of the country is anti-you it is actually terrifying, so there is no blame for him being frightened; it's just not the smartest idea saying you're fearless when in reality you're scared every day of your life.
