"The Fallen Star" is a book series written by Jessica Sorensen. There is three separate series to this storyline. I've read one of the three and I'm waiting to be able to have time to read the rest. I fell in love with this series after the first book and finished the whole first series in two weeks. Four books in two weeks! That was very good for me at the time, now I could read it in four days if I really tried. It's a fast read only because it sucks you in and makes you forget you're reading a book.

If you're into supernatural books, this is the book for you. If you're into astrological things, this is also for you. Romance? That's in this too. This book is the perfect blend of stars, the supernatural, and love. It's like someone threw everything into a blender and this is what it created. There's faries, werewolves, vampires, fallen angels, and everything in-between. It's the perfect blend of the supernatural world! And it's the perfect representation of it all. I'm not a big supernatural world fan but it's amazing and made me love the world.

The astrological parts of it are amazing! Imagine having a star be a walking talking person and that's the stuff you get from this book. It's all star related and how they work. It's absolutely amazing. I wasn't into astrology until I read this book.

The romance is something that reminds me a lot of the "Romeo and Juliet" forbidden love. The two main characters aren't allowed to even touch each other, let alone be in love with each other. That's doesn't mean it'll stop them from helping each other and touching each other.

The book itself is about a girl named Gemma. She's an 18 year old high school senior who lives in a town that snows 9 months out of the year. She lived a semi-normal life, only she didn't have any feelings until a couple months before the book starts. Every new emotion comes when a prickle sensation forms at the back of her neck. The weirdest one, the electric feeling she felt when she met the new boy at school. Not only were the new emotions weird but she also had started to have the same nightmare every night, the monster always being the same. Everything that used to be stories were becoming real and her life turn upside down and inside out. She has the help of Alex, a boy that seems to hate her. The must go through a crazy adventure and death with the life and death situation that is hanging over their heads.

This book is not well known unfortunately. I couldn't even find things on tumblr. But it's such a great book! I give it a 7/10. It's not perfect but it's so good! So mind capturing and amazing! I love it and I definitely recommend it to everyone.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
