College is rough and let's face it, college students are broke. Between tuition, food and rent, money just flies out of our pockets. But who has time to work when you are always studying. Summer jobs are almost a necessity for a college student's survival. Here is a progression of some college students thoughts throughout their summer job.

1. Perfecting your resume

What do you even put on a resume? "Super good at communication?" Lame.

2. The interview

More like sweaty hands from hell.

3. The first day

"Work is so much fun! I'm so happy to be here!"

4. A week later...

"Okay, this is okay. I'm a little tired."

5. A month later...

"I did not wake up for this. Oh my god, is it Friday yet?"

6. When you realize you lost your summer

"I could be on the beach, yet I'm here. How much fun!"

7. A month later...

"Think of the money, think of the money, think of the money..."

8. When the days seem to get longer

"It seems like it's been an hour! *looks at clock* Only 15 minutes have passed? HOW!"

9. When the summer comes to an end

"Great, now school is here. My life rocks."

10. On your last day

"Bye guys! Thanks for all the good times and the lovely cash!"

At least the extra cash in your pocket is in some ways a reward of your hard work, even if working during the summer does suck.

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
