Since making his way into fame in 2009, Justin Bieber has rocked a number of different hairstyles -- some that worked perfectly for him, and others not so much. Justin Bieber's hair is especially important because his good looks are a given, but his hair is what puts the icing on the cake. And let's face it, whether you like it or not, whenever Bieber decides to change his hairstyle, it practically makes national news. From recording his first single at the age of 15, to releasing an incredibly successful new album at the age of 21, Bieber has had quite an evolution in hairstyles. So, which is your favorite?
1. The Original
Not only did Justin Bieber become famous for his phenomenal voice and talent, but he also was acknowledged for his long luscious locks. Bieber became known for his long, mop hairstyle and his frequent hair flips. This hairstyle was a big step in giving the world “Bieber Fever."
2. The Original 2.0
In 2011, Bieber took a risk and decided to cut some of his mop off. It was a shorter look and a nice change to a hairstyle he had since he first rose to fame. His fans went absolutely crazy after this cut (in a good way).
3. The Wave
In 2012, Bieber decided to completely scratch the mop hairstyle and instead slightly shave the sides of his head and spike up the top. This became one of Bieber’s best hairstyles and most definitely a fan favorite.
4. The Pompadour
After spending some time with his spike look, Bieber slightly changed up this style with a pompadour cut. This look, which took over in 2014 and 2015, was slightly more professional and classy than the wave, and it sure made Bieber look extra good in a suit and tie.
5. The Original With A Twist
In 2015, Bieber really started to change up the way he wore his hair. First of all, he dyed it bleach blonde – yikes. Then, instead of completely bringing back the original mop look, he instead shaved part of his head on one side and left his long hair on the other side. This style allowed for a solid comb over. At first, not many people enjoyed this Bieber cut, but it eventually grew in popularity.
6. The Dreads
This is where Bieber started to face some serious issues. In 2016, Bieber decided to switch up his long hair and get dreadlocks. This became a very controversial hairstyle for Bieber and not many people liked it or agreed with his decision to get them. Fortunately, Bieber didn’t keep the hair for long and cut it a month or 2 after getting them.
7. The Buzz
Early in May 2016, Bieber decided to chop all of his hair off and go with a classic buzz cut. His hair is also no longer bleach blonde and he is back to wearing his natural brown hair. Although the buzz cut was a surprise to many people, it’s definitely becoming a fan favorite.
What's next for Bieber's hair? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
